Our Most Important Beliefs |
-
There
is one God who is creator of all things. He is
infinitely perfect and has always existed as three persons:
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
-
The
Bible is a gift from God to man. The Bible tells us
how we can be forgiven and everything we need to know to
live successful Christian lives. It is the authority
for everything we practice and believe at Cornerstone.
-
Mankind was created in the image of God, but became a
sinner, a rebel against a holy God. People are
condemned because of their sin, in desperate need of God's
forgiveness and the new birth that makes them into new
people.
-
Jesus
Christ, the Son of God is both fully God and fully man.
He was born to Mary, a virgin. He died as a sacrifice
for our sins. He rose from the dead and reigns at the
right hand of the Father.
-
The
third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, seeks to
glorify Jesus by drawing people to Him, making them into new
persons, helping them understand the Bible, transforming
their lives and empowering them to serve God effectively.
