Baptism

GOING PUBLIC
Jesus said, "Make disciples of all people, baptizing them and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded."

We follow Jesus’ example in baptism. He was baptized (Mark 1:9), and commanded us to be baptized (Matthew 28:19-20).

Baptism is an act of commitment and dedication.  It expresses that you belong to Jesus.  After you have accepted Christ as your Savior, baptism is a way to publicly identify yourself with His death, burial and resurrection (cf Romans 6:4). It states you are making a commitment to live for Him.

What About Children & Baptism?
At Cornerstone Church, our children may be baptized when they have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and are old enough
to understand the meaning of baptism. We leave it to the parents’ discretion to determine when the time is right for their child.
